About GarageHub

Copy-paste boilerplate for articles, roundups, and directory listings.

Short (one-liner)

  • GarageHub is a vehicle maintenance app with Rev, a built-in AI mechanic that knows your specific cars, reads your service history, and tells you what to do next.

Standard (press paragraph)

  • GarageHub is a maintenance and build tracker for people who work on their own vehicles. Its AI mechanic, Rev, answers repair questions in the context of your actual garage — service history, mileage, parts inventory — instead of generic forum advice. It diagnoses problems from photos, builds maintenance schedules for your exact model year, and turns them into reminders. Available on iOS, macOS, Android, and the web in 13 languages, free to start. Built by Dabanny LTD.

Logo Lockup

The primary mark: icon + wordmark. The wordmark adapts to its background — white on dark, near-black on light. The red never changes.

Color System

Light and dark are first-class peers. Brand red and status hues hold constant; surfaces, text, and hairlines flip. Compose the token — never the hex.

Brand

Constant in both themes.

Racing Red

Surfaces

The "Instrument Cluster" tier system. In light, page/pane/card all collapse to white — separate them with --ui-deep plus a hairline, never a shadow.

Typography

Exactly two fonts. Barlow Condensed for display, Inter for everything else — including every figure.

Barlow Condensed

TRACK EVERY BUILD.

Display font, weight 700, uppercase. Owns H1s, vehicle names, section titles, and big editorial numerals.

Inter

Clean body text for labels, forms, and long descriptions.

Text font. Owns eyebrows, body, labels, and buttons across mobile and web.

Inter · Tabular Figures

Odometer 145,320 mi | VIN 1HGCM82633A004352

Inter with tabular-nums carries mileage, VINs, parts, and technical values. There is no monospace face in the system.

Usage Rules

Keep the GarageHub identity sharp and consistent.

Do

  • Treat light and dark as peers — compose tokens so both resolve.
  • Keep clear space around the lockup equal to the icon's height.
  • Spend red on one thing per view: the primary action.
  • Use Red Dark (--color-primary-500) for small white-on-red text.
  • Use Barlow Condensed for headline-level hierarchy, Inter everywhere else.

Do Not

  • Put red on eyebrows or labels — it fails AA at 3.67:1 and spends the red budget on decoration.
  • Stretch, rotate, recolor, or add effects to the marks.
  • Hardcode a hex — compose --ui-*, --text-*, and --border-* instead.
  • Use mascots or stock device shots — show real product evidence.
  • Introduce a monospace face; Inter tabular figures carry all data.
